This year, the Daytona Regional Chamber will be hosting the 3rd Annual Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at The Shores Resort & Spa (2637 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach Shores). At the event, presented by Florida Hospital, the Chamber will honor recipients of the Small Business of the Year Awards, the Young Professional of the Year, and the Marvin Samuels Leadership Award.

“The Annual Awards Luncheon is a wonderful way to recognize the accomplishments of businesses and professionals within our community”, stated Teresa Rand, Volusia Flagler Family YMCA, and 2016 Chair of the Board. “We anticipate a sell-out event again this year as we celebrate the positive impacts that these businesses have had in the area.”

The awards to be presented at this event are sponsored by Daytona International Speedway. At the luncheon the Chamber will be announcing the winners of the Small Business of the Year. The applications were split up into two categories; one for those businesses with 1-10 employees, and the other for businesses with 11-50 employees.

Finalists in the 1-10 Employee Category are:

  • Kale Cafe
  • Family First Health Center
  • Wishworks Media

Finalists in the 11-50 Employee Category are:

  • All Aboard Properties
  • Atlantic Communications
  • Overhead Door Company of Daytona Beach

In addition to our Small Business of the Year Awards, we will also present the Young Professional of the Year Award to Owen Chittenden, The Shores Resort & Spa. The Volusia Young Professionals Group is an affiliate of the Chamber.  The Marvin Samuels Leadership Award will also be presented at the event by our Leadership Daytona Executive Council.  This award is kept private until the announcement at the event.

The luncheon will conclude with a State of the Chamber address by Teresa Rand, Volusia Flagler Family YMCA, 2016 Chair of the Board and remarks by incoming Chairman, Eric Peburn, Halifax Health on his vision for 2017.
