On Wednesday afternoon, the Daytona Regional Chamber awarded Duvall Homes, located at 3395 Grand Ave., Deland FL, with the “We Noticed Award”. The award is presented by the Chamber Ambassador Committee, to a business who has been nominated for their noticeable changes, renovations, and/or improvements.
Duvall Homes is a non-profit corporation that provides quality residential care as well as day training programs for adults with a broad range of developmental disabilities. They have over 10 group homes, and recently celebrated their 70th anniversary in 2015.
Over the course of the past 18 months, they have acquired seven new group homes, bringing their total inventory to 17. They have also recently developed a new program called “ART…For Everyone”, grown their “Adult Day Training Program” and many of their community outreach and volunteerism projects, including one of their largest projects, “Stop Hunger Now”, helping to feed people across the globe in critical need.
