Government Relations Division

Division Purpose: Recognize the Chamber as the voice for business with our elected officials and staff by maintaining consistent involvement and communication in strengthening the relationships to affect legislative/ policy/ statute/ changes as needed by our members. We will work proactively on the issues and focus on the City of Daytona Beach, and surrounding region, Volusia County, State of Florida, and federal representatives for our area.

Volusia Day Task Force: Meets to organize the annual visit to the Capital.  Coordinates appointments on specific issues with select decision makers and committee chairs and organizes an educational component for members to hear from our delegation, cabinet members and advocacy organizations.

Local Government Committee

Meets monthly to discuss local issues impacting the business community.  Speakers often attend the meetings to provide important information to assist in the development of position statements by the Chamber.
