At the Board of Directors meeting yesterday, the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce elected its officers for 2016. With unanimous support from the Nominating Committee and Board, Teresa Rand, President & CEO of the Volusia Flagler Family YMCA was elected Chair for 2016. Elected as Chair-Elect in 2016 is Eric Peburn, Halifax Health.
As the CEO of the YMCA, Teresa brings a great deal of community knowledge and leadership to our Chamber. “Teresa has been an active member of the Board for several years including leadership roles in the Membership Division and the Community Development Division. In addition, she participated in the Strategic Planning process for the Chamber this past year.” noted current Chairman, Chris Bowler. He added that “Teresa can be found involved in many community organizations as well including Rotary, The Checkered Flag Club and Tiger Bay to name a few.
Stepping up to serve as Chair-Elect is Eric Peburn, Halifax Health. Having served as Treasurer of the Chamber for two years and recently as Chair of the Community Development Division, Eric brings great strength to his new leadership position.
Other members of the Executive Board include Treasurer, Jim Weite, TD Bank; Legal Counsel, Kelly Parsons Kwiatek, Cobb Cole and Immediate Past Chair, Chris Bowler, Daytona Beverages, Inc. Acting as Vice Chair for the Chamber’s Divisions are: Community Development, Julie Rand, Florida Hospital; Economic Development, Rodney Cruise, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University; Government Affairs, Len Marinaccio III, Bomar Construction; Marketing, Bill Offill, The Daytona Beach News-Journal; Membership, Mike Mitchner, Sam’s Club; Small Business, Skip Lilly, Vision HR, Inc. andSpecial Events, Bo Brewer, The People Business.
The new Executive Board starts in January, 2016.
