Jeff Feasel, CEO of Halifax Health, has been elected to serve as 2010 Chairman of the Board of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce. He took office on January 4, 2010. Feasel succeeds Ted Doran of Doran, Sims, Wolfe, Ansay, Kundid & Birch, and will be formally introduced to the membership at the February 15th Annual Meeting.

Feasel voiced enthusiasm for his new role, "I am honored by the Chamber Board for their confidence in me and look forward to a prosperous year in 2010. The past year has been difficult for local businesses but our Chamber has positioned itself well to assist our members into an anticipated recovery. I look forward to working with the Board to enhance the benefits offered to our membership and to further the economic progress of our community."

As we welcome in 2010 we do so with a new name and a new logo.

The Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce has recently implemented a strategy that will change the overall structure of the organization in an effort to better serve our members. The first of those structural changes involves an effort to better serve specific segments of our membership through our Industry Councils. The first three of these councils will concentrate on Hotels & Lodging; Restaurants, Bars & Catering; and Manufacturing.

We are in the process of developing marketing materials to highlight these and other changes in the organization with the goal of introducing them in the first quarter of 2010.
