Membership Campaign to Kick Off on Oct. 29!

Membership Co-Chairs, Bruce Dunn (WDSC 15 Daytona State College) and Lori Kopp (Daytona Beach News-Journal), have announced that the Chamber launched its 2010 Membership Campaign beginning on Player Draft day on Oct 22, with Campaign Kick Off to follow on Oct 29.

The announcement was made at the Chamber’s September Board Meeting. Organizers are now seeking 100 volunteers to recruit a minimum of 100 new Chamber members during the Campaign period ending on Nov. 11. A challenge goal of 200 new members has also been set.

Dunn explained that it is being dubbed the Daytona Regional Fantasy Football League. Each of the Co-chairs will manage a fantasy football division. Chamber Board Chairman-Elect, Tom Leek (Cobb Cole), will serve as League Commissioner. Dunn will manage his NFC charges, while Ms. Kopp will huddle up players representing the AFC.

Mr. Dunn shared his strategy. We are the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce. Our challenge goal is 200 members. Board members will be asked to serve half of a split 6 hour shift during a telethon slated for Oct. 27 through 28. Each member of the Board has a goal of recruiting 3 members each. Ms. Kopp said the Chamber will also be recruiting volunteers from its general membership, Leadership Class, Young Professionals Group, Chamber Ambassadors and Leads Groups.

If you or your firm would like to participate in the Campaign fun, fellowship and exposure to businesses throughout the Halifax area, (we also welcome prize sponsors), call us at the Chamber, 386-255-0981 ext. 227, or email: ken@daytonachamber.com.
