Seminar coming soon - "The Economic Domino Effect"

On Wednesday, February 18, Volusia League of Cities and Volusia County Association for Responsible Development (VCARD) will host a panel of speakers to discuss The Economic Domino Effect.


Regardless of the outcome, the economy affects schools, businesses, and local governments the same way. How can we change the present direction of our local economy and move toward a more promising future?


Panel speakers include Dr. Glenn W. Harrison, Professor of Economics, UCF; Chair, Richard T. Crotty Endowed; Mr. Larry McKinney, President/CEO of the Daytona Beach/Halifax Area Chamber; Mr. Ken Parker, City Manager, City of Port Orange (Moderator) and Dr. Margaret Smith, Superintendent, Volusia County School District.


Join Volusia League of Cities on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at LPGA International Banquet Center, 1000 Champions Drive, Daytona Beach. Registration begins at 11:00 am, luncheon begins at 11:30 am, and the panel discussion begins at 12 noon. The cost to attend is $20 per person.
