Divisions & Committees

The lifeblood of all chambers is the active involvement of its members through their talent, time and treasure.  With over 200 individuals serving on committees and task forces the Chamber is truly representative of our members.

Our organizational chart is intended to show that we work for our members through our Board, Divisions and Committees to accomplish the work of the Chamber.

 


Community Development Division

Community Development Division

Division Purpose:  To assess leadership needs for the community and provide training and programs to attract high-level talent to business and community boards.  Committees include the Leadership Daytona Steering Committee, and the Leadership Alumni Executive Council.


Economic Development Division

Economic Development Division

Division Purpose:  To support and stimulate growth of tourism, retail and manufacturing and build awareness within the community; provide support to other economic development organizations including Team Volusia, CEO Business Alliance as well as Volusia County and Local Municipality’s Departments of Economic Development. Committees include the Economic Development Committee, and the Intercity Visit Task Force.


Government Relations Division

Government Relations Division

Division Purpose: Recognize the Chamber as the voice for business with our elected officials and staff by maintaining consistent involvement and communication in strengthening the relationships to affect legislative/ policy/ statute/ changes as needed by our members. We will work proactively on the issues and focus on the City of Daytona Beach, and surrounding region, Volusia County, State of Florida, and federal representatives for our area. Committees include the Local Government Committee, Legislative Committee, Education Committee, and Volusia Day Task Force.

Division Purpose:  Grow & Retain Membership. Consists of the Membership Committee, Ambassadors, and Regional Business Connections Groups.


Marketing & Communications Division

Division Purpose: Through strategic communication methods, keep members informed on Chamber-related information. Consists of the Marketing Committee.


Small Business Division

Small Business Division

Division Purpose:  To showcase our small and medium size businesses and develop opportunities to assist in the growth of their business market.  Consists of the Small Business Committee.

Special Events Division

Division Purpose:  To develop events and programs that enhance the experience of our members, providing them with varying opportunities to network and support the work of the Chamber.  Focus on driving and building attendance/revenue for each event. Consist of the Bike Week Festival Task Force, Annual Dinner Meeting Committee, and Business Links Golf Tournament Committee.
