The Joke Factory Comedy Club at La Playa Resort to host TickleTheTroops Comedy Tour to raise funds for the Wounded Warrior Project™. Over 47,000 servicemen and women have been injured in recent military conflicts, and in addition to the physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with the invisible wounds of war including combat-related stress, major depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Another 320,000 are believed to have experienced traumatic brain injuries while on deployment. The Community Foundation of East Central Florida is a 501c3 dedicated to helping donors with their giving and supporting the nonprofit community in the three counties we serve- Flagler, Putnam & Volusia in Florida. We are excited about the National Give Local America day to celebrate the 100th anniversary of community foundations and are proud to host our own Give Local Day and hope you will see how to join us in this wonderful day of giving back and paying it forward. Give Local Flagler, Putnam & Volusia - is One Day of Online Giving on May 6, 2014, from midnight to midnight (Eastern Time). On that day, anyone can go to the event website, www.givelocalecfl.org hosted by the community foundation and donate to as many participating nonprofits as they want as many times as they want. All donations made during the Day of Giving are 100% tax deductible and will have the opportunity to be matched or multiplied by our match/prize rewards each hour. 20th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America

Help the community welcome the 20th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America to Daytona! The Ride raises money for Victory Junction, a camp created to enrich the lives of children with chronic illness. This year, the Ride will complete its cross-country trek in Daytona. Come and meet Kyle Petty as he arrives with more than 175 motorcyclists - including several notable celebrities. Autograph and photo opportunities will be available at the event. Attendees can also contribute to the Charity Ride’s Small Change. Big Impact program that benefits children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses. NAIA Men's Golf Championship

From: May 13, 2014 - May 16, 2014 Starting: 7:00 AM LPGA International 1000 Champions Dri Daytona Beach, FL 32124 Up to 30 teams plus individuals will qualify for the national championship. The championship is a four-round tournament consisting of a maximum of 156 golfers. Competition is stroke play. Each team competes with five golfers (minimum of four) and the top four scores posted each day are counted toward the team standings. The tournament field is cut after 54 holes.
