Departures 2014: A Juried Student Exhibition - July Schedule

Departures is a juried exhibition that highlights photography by recent graduates of the Daytona State College photography program. This is the eighth year that the Southeast Museum of Photography has had the honor of showcasing the work of these recent graduates and it will continue to be a yearly summer event at the museum. Since the program's inception 50 years ago, Daytona State College Photography Program graduates have taken their place among the nation's leading photographers. The program has since grown into one of the largest, most comprehensive commercial photography programs in the southeastern US. The Tom Petty Tribute band, The Petty Hearts, will kick off the Friends of the Bandshell season and will be followed by fireworks over the Atlantic Ocean at 9:45 p.m. This scenic amphitheater is located in Oceanfront Park on the north end of the Boardwalk amusement area and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Built of coquina in 1937, the Bandshell can host 5,000 people for concerts, outdoor weddings, receptions, events or group activities. Parking, Chairs & Refreshments Parking is available at the Ocean Center garage and surface lots. You can enter the Bandshell through the Ocean Walk Village from A1A or the overpass from the parking garage.Chairs are available for rental.Beverages are available from licensed vendors during events. As it is an Open, we will be inviting Professionals, Amateurs, Ladies and Juniors to play in the event for an entry fee. The C.A.R.E. Classic is pleased to announce we have 2 tournaments this year. The C.A.R.E. Classic will have a putting lesson /contest 7am- one tournament tee-off at 8am. The second tee-off will be at 1pm. This year we are pleased to announce, will be honored with 3 LPGA players. Along with several opportunities to play with these LPGA players. Next will be our Friday September 12th 2014 5-8pm C.A.R.E For a Cocktail Mix and Mingle networking receptions at the famous LPGA International Country Club. Ticket information is below. RSVP is a must. September 13th - 7am kick off with a putting lesson with one of our LPGA Players. Register soon-limited placement. (10 players). The Harley Davidson bike and trailer travel all year throughout the United States to raise funds for Haven Recovery Center.
