| CHINDIA AUTHOR TO SPEAK AT CHAMBER LUNCHEON |

| The Chamber will hold a luncheon in conjunction with the University of Central Florida and the Halifax Area Trade Council On Thursday, September 2, 2010 at LPGA International, featuring Dr. Jagdish N. Sheth, bestselling author and Professor of Marketing at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. Dr. Sheth is the author of Chindia Rising: How China and India Will Benefit Your Business.
With a focus on business and community partnerships, this program is made available through the Daytona Regional Chamber, UCF Daytona Beach, UCF Global Perspectives, and special funding through the UCF Global Connections Foundation.
Dr. Jagdish (Jag) N. Sheth is the founder of the India China America Institute, a non-profit research facility working to foster research and dissemination of knowledge on the rise of China and India, as well as their impact on global markets, resources and geopolitics. He is also the Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing in the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Dr. Sheth is internationally known for his scholarly contributions in consumer behavior, relationship marketing, competitive strategy and geopolitical analysis. He has worked for numerous industries and companies in the United States, Europe and Asia, both as an advisor and a seminar leader. His clients include AT&T, BellSouth, Cox Communications, Delta, Ernst & Young, Ford, GE, Lucent Technologies, Motorola, Nortel, Pillsbury, Sprint, Square D, 3M, Whirlpool and many more.
He has offered more than 1,000 presentations in 20 countries. He is also on the board of directors of several public companies including Norstan (NASDAQ), Cryo Cell Internatinal (NASDAQ) and Wipro Limited (NYSE).
A prolific author, Dr. Sheth has authored or co-authored hundreds of articles and books, including Clients for Life, Value Space, The Rule of Three: Surviving and Thriving in Competitive Markets, Tectonic Shift: The Geoeconomic Realignment of Globalizing Markets, Firms of Endearment and Chindia Rising.
Registration will begin at 11:30am, with lunch and program beginning at 12 noon. The cost for the luncheon is $25 for Chamber members and $40 for non-members. Reservations are required and can be obtained by calling Gail Miller at 523-3675.
