Join the Daytona Regional Chamber, the Volusia Young Professionals Group (VYPG), and the Volusia County Association for Responsible Development (VCARD) for this year’s biennial HobNob event, to be held October 4, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Ocean Center (101 N. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach). HobNob is the gold standard of political rallies, and will feature some of the best candidate debates in the area.
At this year’s event presented by the Daytona Beach News-Journal, attendees will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with candidates, and try out the new straw poll voting system especially designed for this event. The evening will also include a candidates’ forum for Volusia County Chair, the Medical Marijuana Amendment, and others.
Government Relations Vice Chair Len Marinaccio, Bomar Construction, stated, “For 24 years, the HobNob event has introduced candidates and emphasized issues to the voting public, but it’s also a great opportunity meet candidates one-on-one and ask your specific questions of concern”.
All attendees will receive complimentary hors d’oeuvres, as well as beer and wine compliments of S.R. Perrott, Inc. Candidate tables, sponsorships, and individual tickets can be purchased online. Advanced admission price is $20 before October 1, and $30 after October 1. For more information please contact Jim Cameron, Senior V.P., Government Relations, at 386.523.3673.
