January Eggs & Issues

Join us for Eggs & Issues featuring Daytona Beach Housing Authority Executive Director Anthony Woods to discuss affordable workforce housing and how it affects the business community on Friday, January 12 at 7:30 a.m. at LPGA International.

Quality of life for Volusia County's workforce is a critical component of a strong business environment. Affordable workforce housing is an emerging issue for the community. "A recent study shows that 57% of renters in Volusia County are ‘cost-burdened'...they pay more for rent and utilities than they can comfortably afford," states Government Relations Vice Chair Bart Leek of DBL Surety.

Click here to register. Cost is $15 for Chamber members with 24-hour advanced RSVP, $20 day of event, $30 non-members. For more information on the program, please contact Jim Cameron.

Eggs & Issues is sponsored by The Daytona Beach News-Journal, University of Central Florida Daytona Beach, and Charter Spectrum.
