Join us on August 16 for a Tallahassee Speaker Series event reviewing the 13 proposed amendments that cover a number of topics related to state government from an additional homestead exemption, a non-homestead property assessment cap, offshore oil drilling, indoor vaping, greyhound racing, increasing the retirement age for judicial officials, supermajority approval of tax/fee increases, voter control of gambling and more. The Chamber has arranged several speakers to explain the pros and cons of each amendment and what they mean to the voting public.
This event will be at The Palmetto Club from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., and will be followed by a social hour from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Your admission includes one drink and assorted appetizers during the social hour. The Tallahassee Speaker Series is sponsored by AT&T, Charter Spectrum, Daytona Beach News-Journal, Stetson University, and Teledyne Marine.
