Chamber members and local officials are encouraged to join the Chamber’s annual trip to Tallahassee for Volusia Days sponsored by AT&T, Daytona International Speedway, Florida Power & Light and Ghyabi Consulting & Management to meet with invited leaders: Governor Ron DeSantis, CFO Jimmy Patronis, Senators Tom Wright, Travis Hutson, and David Simmons, as well as Representatives David Santiago, Elizabeth Fetterhoff, Paul Renner, and Tom Leek. Also invited are Enterprise Florida CEO Jamal Sowell, Visit Florida President Dana Young, Department of Economic Opportunity Director Ken Lawson, and other state agency leaders.
This year, we will be teaming up with officials from across the county and the Florida Chamber to lobby our state officials on business-related issues, such as economic development, tourism funding, education, environment, and employer issues, as well as projects specific to Volusia County.
Cost is $60, which includes lunch on each day, and a Chamber reception at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19. Additionally, there will be a group dinner (pay on your own) at 7:15 p.m. on the 19th at Andrew's Cafe. The Chamber has a block of rooms held at Hampton Inn & Suites Capitol-University Tallahassee at a cost of $229, plus tax.
