The cornerstone of the Chamber's mission is to advocate on behalf of our members and to communicate the views of the business community to our elected officials. The Government Relations division, through it’s Local Government and Legislative committees identifies, prioritizes and recommends policy to our Board of Directors for those issues that affect our local economy, business environment and quality of life in the Daytona Beach Region.
Each year we develop a list of City Council and State priorities for our focus and communicate these issues regularly at meetings, events and in conversations with our elected officials at all levels.

Quarterly, Government Relations E-News are provided to keep the membership informed of the important efforts to advocate on their behalf. During the Legislative Session in Tallahassee, weekly Legislative Status Reports are provided to update you on the activity at the State level. These reports provide access to information in an easy to read format.
Understanding how national politics can impact area business, we work closely with the US Chamber of Commerce on advocacy and policy implementation at the federal level.
