BETHUNE-COOKMAN UNIVERSITY SECURES NEW ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS

Funding from Seeking Insights for Solutions, Inc. to Ease Financial Gaps for Students

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 27, 2026) Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU) recently secured a $30,000 gift from Seeking Insights for Solutions (SIS), Inc. to create a new endowed scholarship aimed at helping students bridge the financial gap and remain focused on completing their degrees.

The agreement, signed during a special presentation at the B.J. Moore Center for Faculty Innovation, establishes a permanent endowment account that will provide annual scholarships to deserving students.

University leaders say this investment by SIS provides meaningful assistance that allows students to concentrate on academics, leadership development and timely graduation.

“This $300,000 investment embodies more than financial support – it represents opportunity,” said Dr. Sherry Paramore, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Bethune-Cookman University. “By helping bridge the financial gap, this investment enables our students to remain focused on their academic journey and fully engage in the campus experience.”

Following the signing ceremony on February 19, SIS representatives toured the historic home of Mary McLeod Bethune, whose legacy of expanding access to education continues to guide B-CU’s mission.

“What began as a conversation in December 2025 has now materialized into a lasting legacy that will support two deserving Bethune-Cookman University students each year,” added Dr. DeShanna Brown, Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement at B-CU. “The Seeking Insights for Solutions (SIS) Endowed Scholarship reflects the power of vision, partnership, and a shared commitment to transforming lives – today and for generations to come.”

B-CU plans to award the first two recipients of the Seeking Insights for Solutions (SIS) Endowed Scholarship in the Fall of 2026.
