Active Committees, Task Forces and Programs:

GOVERNANCE BOARDS, REVENUE COMMITTEE, AWARDS COMMITTEE, BIKE WEEK FESTIVAL TASK FORCE

Objectives:

  • Strengthen Financial Stewardship: Implement rigorous financial oversight and strategic investment practices to ensure the Daytona Regional Chamber's financial health and sustainability, maximizing the impact of our resources.
  • Capitalize Building Investments: Develop and diversify revenue streams through rental opportunities and resources associated with the Brown & Brown Business Center, meeting spaces, and podcast studio. Create a pricing strategy that maximizes revenue while maintaining competitiveness in the market
  • Expand Resource Development: Leverage existing programs and create new opportunities to enhance revenue streams, reducing dependence on current high-profile funding sources.

Action Items:

  • Financial Review: Engage the Revenue Committee to conduct financial reviews to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Develop a strategy to maximize returns on program opportunities.
  • Building Space Rentals: Launch a marketing campaign to promote rental opportunities. Establish partnerships with local businesses to increase the utilization of available spaces.
  • Resource Growth: Explore new programs, events, and grant opportunities that attract diverse funding sources through innovative initiatives.
  • Bike Week: Manage the multiple relationships with the City and national sponsors, while providing a positive economic impact for the region for the ten-day motorcycle festival.  Work to provide positive messaging that expresses the impact for the residents and attract visitors to the area.
  • Signature Events: Establish or support member-driven task force(s) to maximize sponsorship and engagement opportunities for major events including, but not limited to, the Annual Dinner, Golf Tournament, Awards celebration, Elevate and Market Watch.

The Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce has several Governance Boards, comprised of chamber members that oversee the operations of the organization. The various boards, committees and task forces hold meetings as needed to assist with guiding the strategy for the organization.

Meets three times a year to lead the application process for all awards given by the chamber of commerce to ensure a coordinated and transparent process in the selection of the prestigious chamber awards.
