The month of May kicks off with the 52nd annual Art in the Park Arts and Crafts Festival, presented by Ormond Beach Parks & Recreation in partnership with the Ormond Memorial Art Museum. The event is held in Rockefeller Gardens overlooking the Halifax River and features fine artists and crafters from throughout the region.
The month of May also includes a full schedule of exhibits and programs including a pop-up exhibit of paintings by artist Renee Palermo; “Tradewinds,” an annual exhibit of artworks by Seabreeze High School Students; and the continuation of “Quiet Light” featuring paintings by artist and educator, Sara Pedigo.
Art programs for adults include garden photography, a fused glass workshop, Japanese ink painting, botanical gel printing, and Veterans Lunch & Learn. Special programs/events include a lecture on the “Masters of the Italian High Renaissance,” a butterfly garden talk, a music experience in the garden, a Mother’s Day Tea on the Rooftop, and Floral Design Study.
Ongoing monthly programs include Free Family Art Night, First Saturday Ormond Art Walk, Third Thursday Docent Tour, Art of Healing, Veterans Creative Expressions, and ArtWave Youth Workshop.
The Museum will be closed for Memorial Day observance on Monday, May 25th.
