U.S. Chamber Awards Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce with Five-Star Accreditation

Daytona Beach, FL -  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has awarded the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce with its highest designation of Accredited with 5 Star Distinction for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the regional community they serve.

 

“Chambers that achieve this level of Accreditation distinction are truly leaders in their industry.” said Raymond P. Towle, U.S. Chamber Vice President, Federation Relations, and IOM.  “Their rigorous review included all aspects of the chamber’s policies, operations, and programming.  To earn the distinction of becoming Accredited, it is a mark of excellence for the organization, its staff, and its leadership. As a Five-Star Accredited chamber, they are recognized for their ability to serve as a resource to their region’s businesses while maintaining transparent governance practices, sound financial controls, safe work environments, effective communications, and value in programming.  They are commended for their continued advocacy of free enterprise, and for their commitment to serving members and local businesses.  We congratulate the Daytona Regional Chamber on this tremendous accomplishment.”

 

The accreditation process consists of nine application sections that are reviewed and completed by members of the Chamber who serve on the Accreditation Committee “It is our goal to always strive to utilize best practices to keep us ahead of trends and to provide exceptional service to our members and community.  This highest level of accreditation validates the impactful work and the leadership of the Board of Directors, the engagement of our members, and the professional staff at the Daytona Regional Chamber” noted Daytona Regional Chamber President & CEO, Nancy Keefer.

 

There are 197 chambers of commerce accredited in the United States putting the Daytona Regional Chamber in the top 3% of chambers in the country.  Additionally, there are only 12 chambers in the State of Florida that are accredited.
